Demo Nearing Completion

Our new 4-song demo should be mixed by tomorrow's end. The four songs on the demo will be:

Stayin' Alive (think chest hair)
Pregnant (a story of Mark's misfortune)
I've Just Seen A Face (Or, if you're Matt, "I've Just Seen The Face")
Here To Stay (Dara's hit single)

We'll probably make these tunes publically available off the Hog-Tie website, so keep stopping by for the updates! Many thanks to Matt at Wilburland for bearing our arguments in the studio. We're unprepared.

We've also recently gotten radio airplay on Thistle and Shamrock, on a humourous show titled You Cannot Be Serious. They played Arabian Mishap (from our debut CD, Ham Debris) and since then we've been getting TONS AND TONS of new orders. So it looks like we'll be getting some more of those old CD's pressed, for those who are interested. You can see, we're listed on their playlist here.

Also, rumors abound of a Stayin' Alive video to be released...

New New Hog-Tie CD In Progress!

After almost a monthly full of daily (early morning, at least for most of us) rehearsals, we've finally begun work on the new Hog-Tie CD!

We spent one reasonably productive day in the studio and were able to put down rhythm tracks to 4 tunes. Serafina was very well behaved and watched Aristocats with Will down in the basement. Dara didn't break any strings and we weren't interupted by any Mormons. A special thanks to Nick who spent most of the afternoon recording drums in a cramped 5x5 cubicle in the basement.

Matt has given us the yellow light on recording the other tracks at Chad's apartment, so now we're waiting for DIGIDESIGN to repair his DIGI002 (which died the day we brought back the initial tracks) so we can begin recording fiddle, flute and vocals.

We'll post some pre-release material when it becomes available...

Mark, asking for it.

enough the stair breaks)
